WELCOME TO MAY AT ST. MARK! As we step into a new month, we celebrate the beauty of God’s faithfulness and the strength He gives His people. May is a time of renewal, gratitude, and honoring the women who pour so much love, wisdom, and grace into our lives.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31:25–26 (NIV). This month, we give thanks for the women of our church and family who reflect these qualities so beautifully. May God bless each of you with renewed strength, joy, and peace as we continue to worship and grow together.
** Change Competition This month is our 2nd Change Competition of the year. All money raised will go towards our Building Fund. Congratulations to the women and girls who won the March competition!
** Men’s Fellowship the Men’s Fellowship will meet on Saturday, May 2nd at 8 a.m. at Jeni’s Joint.
** National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer. Let’s join in lifting our nation, leaders, families, and churches before the Lord.
** Mother’s Day Sunday, May 10th is Mother’s Day. On this special day, we give thanks to God for the mothers, grandmothers, and mother‑figures who have poured His love, guidance, and strength into our lives. Take a moment to bless your mom with a call or a visit as we honor the women whose faith and devotion have shaped our families. We also remember with love the mothers who have passed on. We thank God for their legacy of faith, and we rejoice in the hope that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” May their memory continue to inspire us to walk faithfully with Him.
** Memorial Day Monday, May 25th is Memorial Day. Let’s take time to remember our fallen heroes who gave their lives in service to our great country.
** Holy Communion Sunday, May 31st, we will observe Holy Communion together as a church family.
A SPECIAL THANK‑YOU
Thank you to the Men’s Fellowship for getting the church spring‑ready — putting down mulch, placing the cross, and helping make our grounds look warm and inviting. Thank you also to everyone who decorated for Easter with the beautiful flowers, arrangements, and planters on the front porch. Your efforts help make our church a welcoming place of worship.
